Boden is a British clothing retailer that sells its merchandise primarily online and by catalogue to several countries worldwide. The aim of the project is challenge the standard catalogue look and create a completely original alternative digital front cover that celebrates the summer season!

DESIGNING
The meaning: The blue ocean, is all the ocean of UK which is the first in receive the good sun of the summer, as well the blue colour means "a start"; the horizon means new Boden's goals for this summer to show their collection of clothes, to inspire to their people. The girl, looking the blue ocean is each person which is waiting the new start, the new collection of Boden, with love each detail because each thing is important; the first two birds (red and blue) mean the UK's colours flag, because when the summer starts, the colours of UK are in scream colour making joy and hope like the yellow bird.
SKETCHES
This design start from the simple to the complex, from the simplicity of the ocean's majestic to the girl with each detail, because Boden creates great ideas starting with a beautiful idea, for make a complex composition with each detail which starts here. The technique: Firstly I made a big drawing in paper and I based this drawing for sketch it on the computer, secondly I applied a deep technique like water-colour to the entire image using different kind's of brushes making each detail like "waft" giving volume, shadows and lights. Finally I made the composition between the frame, the logo and the design; I often applied motion techniques and blending the colours for get this result.
