BY CHARLIE HENRY

It's necessary to project and render for a construction technology company based in Oakland, CA that is innovating the construction industry by creating homes using advanced materials, 3D-printing technology, and robotics automation.

The homes were designed with efficiency and performance in mind, and are manufactured with materials that have been selected to ensure low maintenance and maximum durability. These homes also come with a variety of design features, which includes cabinets, HVAC, and appliances for the kitchen and bathroom.

3D-printers use a thermoset composite the company invented called Light Stone Material (LSM), that hardens when exposed to UV light, thanks to a UV-curing process, making an effective building material. The 3D-printing process called Photo Activated Component Extrusion (PACE) that hardens the material almost immediately, while also maintaining cohesion between layers to create a monolithic structure.
